jooseng teochew porriage:
havent touched blogger in a while... actually i have put quite a bit of things to do on hold... theres jus so many thing i wanna do b4 i get stuck doing national service.
ive got to do pics of jerusalem but not b4 i finish up wif the 2 sets of assignments i hav to do for church. then theres my rpgs that i wanna complete... on top of that are countless festivals along wif shopping needs. which is not all since i still wanna attend a class in sch and redo my html template.
well... its not wat a working person wld deem busy... and indeed im not at all tied up, jus that i wanna enjoy doing every one of these things ive put up for myself to do... and yea i almost forgot ive got to catch up on quite a bit of sleep...
havent felt like blogging very much either. in refrence to my penultimate entry, turns out that most pple either dint read it or were fine wif wat i said... all but one of my "frnds" who got really offended when he read between the lines and found something offensive in my writeing that i did not intend to leave... well even after confrontation he's still givin me the cold shlder... and yea, its a he im refering to. is my english that bad? really this isnt the first time ive encountered such a misunderstanding frm wat i typed... but never on my blog... jus make me feel reluctant to refresh the page sometimes... well i guess since toes have already been crushed, theres not much turnig back now... weird how pple can be angry wif u but not dare to explain their reasons for it, while all the time saying how important ur frndship is to them... weird... or isit jus me. aii...
its rather fustrating, prolly the reason y i like rock music so much... kinda beat the fustration in to tunes...
i havent talked abt this matter in a while... somtimes jus feel like bustring out curses and swears... but i suppose time will tell wat the hell is going on... i think i need to talk to God... aii...
well at least a journal is meant for writeing watever's on my mind... rite? if u think its offensive dun read it. it really was meant to be a personal thing. im not hollywood and i dun always write nice and crownd pleasing entries... yea and forgive the typos im in no mood to spell check.
i hope ill hav less entries like this one

ideboku fresh milk, 900ml air-flown -$9.80
never heard drums like yoshiki's... i mean hav u heard the beats on his drum?! its mind blowing!... never heard anything close to such devotion in music... hav u heard it? hav u?!!!!!!
im sooo hooked on X-japan, jus found out today how fantastic they were... haha im alittle late in finding out, but stilll im very hooked... its 3:40am, its raining outside, cool inside but i cant sleep! rusty nail and blue blood are jus too addictive... up till now ive heard that pair 3times over...
really gets ur adrenaline pumping... the drums are jus out of this world.
and yoshiki, the guy who plays the drums, is not the only one who give their music a cutting edge... toshi, on vocals, is jus utterly unique... his voice, a gift... simply fantstic! very sonorous, makes him sound like a choir rather than jus one man... guitarists pata and hide are a unbeatable pair... and the sound of the eletric-guitar is ever-beautiful. their solos never dissapoint.
its jus that the drumer, being so unique and matchless, steals most of the limelight...
u never heard j-rock till uve had X japan.

I’ve been thinking about design again.
In the even of floods and monsoons, I am reminded of this community of people in India. As I was told they live as a village by a river. Their houses, made from mud and wood provide shelter for their families, safe for their livestock and limited belongings.
Every year during the monsoon season these mud houses would be washed away. These inhabitants of the once life giving river would have to pack up and move up to higher ground to set up home again. After the monsoon season passes the Indians will once again move back down to the river. And theses resilient people do it every year, over and over.
I’ve never seen this place for myself, only heard of it from a distant source, however it sounds possible.
First thoughts were why would anyone want to repeat building their homes over and over, year after year. Doesn’t seem very smart. However, ill suppose the river brings about extremely fertile soil for farming and rearing livestock. And each year as these farmers have their homes washed away, the monsoons also carries away the old, nutrient depleted, soil. And along with it comes new grounds for tilling and ranching.
So lets suppose this is the reason for the Indians to keep returning to the river.
Now these city free Indians are now experts in mud house construction since they do it every year. I’m sure throughout the years they’ve improved in their methods of building mud houses. They must also have their own ways of transporting families, livestock and possessions. Maybe even building materials.
Don’t think any designer could match their knowledge in temporary and limited resource constructions.
Also these homes that they create would probably be in their simplest form – ‘minimalist design’.
And nothing’s stopping them from personalizing each home, wouldn’t you? I think, here in the city, we call it interior design. (I dun believe in interior design but that’s another issue for another time.)
How then would they device means to transport their annual move of homes, or their methods of recognizing the time to start moving? We have so much to learn.
Design problems, solved by solutions of non-designers, which are likely to prove themselves more efficient and effective than the produce of a pampered, city spoiled designer. Makes me wonder how any self respecting designer can feel happy producing rubbish on paper, which gets haggled down to rock bottom prices, sells it for peanuts and pat him/herself on the back and say “I also can design what” and eventually kill the market for design.
I once heard a comment that design was suited only for the rich. I’ve always thought it was flawed but could never find what was wrong with it since it had some truth in it.
With the short discussion above, I now think design is suited only for extreme circumstances, extreme poverty or extreme wealth – monomaniacal culture.
